This is a cap removal tool for the locksmith, do-it yourself person, homeowner and property maintenance personal.
The cap removal tool is used for Schlage deadbolts and A & D series entrance locks.
This tool is a precision tool made in the USA and made from harden steel.
One end of the tool is used to remove the threaded cap from Schlage cylinders. Then flip to the opposite end. This end is used when the key is unavailable to remove the the cylinder from the lock. Disassemble lock until you can see the cylinder and tailpiece. Slide tool over cylinder tailpiece, depress the cylinder cap pin.
