WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS ABOUT THE CURRENT PRODUCT: "The Sanitary Cartridge Valve is a 316 stainless steel check valve for use in new or existing sanitary systems. The SCV design seals on the ID of sanitary ferrules with replaceable food grade seals (Standard is FDA EPDM). The valves fit the Tri-Clover Bevel Seat and Tri-Clamp fittings, the Cherry Burrell Q-Clamp and S-Line fittings, and others with ID dimensions equal to 0.062" +/-0.005". The compact SCV design fits inside a single fitting, and requires no additional space in the line. Its size makes it extremely economical when compared to full-bodied valves."
