Smart-Cam CMM is a low-cost, machine vision, computerized measurement solution that works with a wide array of imaging devices and files. Smart-Cam CMM can make measurements with greater accuracy and in less time than conventional methods of measurement. In addition, Smart-Cam CMM can make measurements of objects that would be impractical or impossible to measure using conventional methods, such as large or distant objects.
Smart-Cam CMM converts any video camera, digital camera, web-cam, or other video capture device into a powerful Windows-based “smart camera†capable of making measurements.
With the included Smart-Cam CMM software developer's kit, you can develop your own powerful, fast machine vision modules that run on the same machine vision platform as Smart-Cam CMM. The stock CMM module C++ source code is included, so you have a complete working example to modify and build upon. The SDK is not limited to just making measurements; almost any 2D machine vision task is possible. You'll also get documentation and examples of how to use the library of common machine language subroutines that is included with the Smart-Cam software.
Developing machine vision modules for Windows has never been easier. The Smart-Cam software frame-work takes the mystery out of working with the Windows API; video camera support, BMP/JPG file format support, a fast live image preview, and smooth interactive image display are already provided for you. We are not talking about PictureBoxes here. This is a serious and fast C++-based frame-work that allows you focus on your image processing task without getting bogged down in the details of either Windows or hardware programming.

Standard Measurement Functions (Add your own with the SDK)
The software acquires or loads an image, and does nothing more. You are then free to interact with the image using the mouse to place measurement points. Dimensional and angular measurements are possible. (This ability to interact with the image is available under all functions.)
