Recordings can be made on the digital recording chip within the unit for playback or for transfer to a standard tape recorder. To activate the recording function, just push the RECORD button on the right side of the unit. A red light stays lit while the recording is taking place. To hear the recorded sound press the PLAY button. The sound will be heard through the head phones. When you push the RECORD button again it will delete any previously recorded sound.
