B&s micrometer stop for 10" 12" atlas craftsman lathe
This is a Brown & Sharpe 0-1" micrometer head (marked in 0.001" increments) mounted to a block of aluminum. The unit is held to an Atlas Craftsman lathe by a steel plate that has been ground flat on 2 surfaces and attached using the included 3/8" square-head bolt.
The bolt head is the same size as the thread chaser, lantern tool holder and carriage lock on my Atlas Craftsman 12" lathe. The stop is intended to be used on a lathe that has 3/8" thick ways.
The micrometer is smooth running along its entire range. It has enough resistance that it won't change its seting due to machine vibration.
