Some folks have a difficult time finding stainless steel hardware so we now carry the essential parts necessary to build the wind turbines in Hugh Piggotts plans and in our own variation of that. You need to use stainless hardware around the stator where the hardware is stationary near spinning magnets. We sometimes like to use these Acorn nuts on the front of the stator and in front of the blades, just to dress up the machine a bit. Other than appearance though, there is no advantage to using these over normal hardware.
