Industrial / Gov't surplus washers are made of 300 series stainless steel and bonded with a neoprene like plastisol sealant which is stable and non-aging and has a working temperature range of -60 F to 250 F. Partial dome shape to the washer creates a watertight seal once the bolt or screw is fully tightened down and also cuts down on vibration noise.
