You may wonder if run out critical? The answers can be found on
If you don't want to go there I'll tell you. Run out is very crucial to how your machine functions. If you have a weak machine that "flexes" then run out may not be so bad, but the flex is very bad because it causes your wheels to lose alignment. On a rigid Machine(best case scenario) run out can only be compensated by extreme pressure on your machine. Extreme pressure is no good for many reasons...It causes you to overstretch your panels which causes distortion, and it's very hard on the mechanical components such as lead screws, cradles, welds, and so on. With a well built rigid Machine it's amazing just how little pressure it takes to start shaping your panels.
After you have made your panel you will want to do a "Washout". A Washout will save you so much work! This is done by using the largest possible contact keeping in mind the radius or "form" on your panel. Gently bring the Upper and Lower Wheels to where they just touch your panels surface, then simply work the panel back and forth through your Machines Wheels. This Process will blend your high and low spots making for an Extremely beautiful panel when completed.
I was looking around and found that many Manufacturers of Anvils not only don't guarantee their run out, they also don't list what their Wheels are made from!

Our Upper Wheel is much more Expensive than theirs, but the differences are like night and Day. Here is their price, but what diameter is it?

Our Upper Wheel in this Set is $308.50 which is a lot more, but here's the differences:
Ours are Rough Machined, then sent out to an ISO 9000 Facility to be Heat Treated to 52-54 Hrc. After that we Finish Machine the Wheel. Those other guys use Prehard 4140 at 29Hrc.!
Our Upper Wheels have the faces relieved. Most the other guys have a little step if your Lucky and they weighs about 35lbs more! If you don't kill yourself from making so many passes on the lower Anvils because of full radius's you will from the weight of the Upper Wheel.
Our Upper Wheel is Machined from 4140 Alloy Steel, and it is a solid Billet like all of our High End Upper Wheels. This Wheel has been Hardened to 52-52hrc on the Rockwell C scale, that's very hard. These are not like the other guys cheap Pre-Hard Wheels, this Upper is made Righteously! This Upper will outlast your Machine and your Grandchildren as well.

Every Corner is Radiused on our Anvils and Upper Wheels, NO SHARP EDGES HERE otherwise you invite lines to your panels! Every Anvil has been polished and the contacts have beautiful transitional radius's to create perfect panels free off pinch lines that come from Wheeling!
Included with this set is Our Brand New "Hoosier Lifter" This Upper Yoke will raise the Upper Wheel a ½" off your Panel. This enables you to Quickly change the Lower Anvil as well as being able to remove the panel to check your form. Putting the Panel back into the Machine is simple with this Lifter, and it enables you to not have to Wheel back over areas on a panel that are already finished. Being able to lift the Wheel a ½" off the work piece is Great because some shapes like High Crowns, Headlight Buckets, and Gas Tanks make removing the Panel a Task. Screwing a Jack many turns to remove a panel then screwing it again to get back down to the same point gets tiring fast! Do it Right with this Lifter and never make an adjustment to your Machine when checking your work piece out. There is a Spring loaded Pin that you pull out slightly, then turn the handle 90 degrees and you've moved a ¼", turn it another 90 degrees and your at a ½". Rotate it back to the original position and the Pin pops in a Hole locking the Yoke in Position.
This is our Precision Machined 3 Piece lower Yoke or commonly called "cradle". Perfect alignment is here, the Base has 4) 1/4-20 Ball Nose Set Screws located every 90 Degrees around the Central Screw. These Screws are used to Raise or Lower the Yoke to Align.
We are Proud to be offering an Adjuster after many years of not selling them. This Adjuster was designed by a very close friend of mine. There is No Welding on this Adjuster, however you may want to Weld the mount(Included) to Your Frame. 100% CNC Machined to Guarantee a Precision piece of Tooling.
