Motorola's Messaging Systems Products Group (MSPG) licensed its FLEX(tm) high-speed paging protocol to Leetel to build test equipment for pagers. This is great for retailers who offer sales, tune-up and repair of paging devices. It is the first manufacturer to offer integrated FLEX protocol-based pager test systems.
"Motorola's open licensing policy means more FLEX protocol-based pagers in the marketplace and an increased need for value-added services," said Jeffrey McKnight, partner, Sandstone. "We are responding by licensing the FLEX protocol from Motorola ourselves to provide retailers a fully integrated test system to service the expected influx of new advanced paging devices."
