Tagasaste, commonly referred to as Tree Lucerne, is a fast growing, hardy, leguminous shrub that has been planted in gardens as an ornamental, and on farms as a windbreak and as nutritious green fodder for rabbits, ostriches, cattle, horses, and other grazing animals. Attractive small tree to 5m that tolerates drought and frost.
