3M 8500 Nuisance / Comfort DUST MASKS
These are the old standby dust masks used for years for any job that produces dust that doesn't require expensive respirators. This is a round concave filter held on with a rubber strap and formed in place around your nose with a metal strip. Great for protecting you from things like drywall dust. cleaning vacuums, dusty closets & old shelves et.al. The 8500 designation means this has 85 micron filtration. This means this is not to be used as a respirator. Respirators are needed if you are in an environment full of fumes and vapors that will damage your lungs.
