What's the difference between the Little Giant advertised on TV
and this This Type I Little Giant?
Both are made by Wing Enterprises, both are manufactured in the United States, both are OSHA and ANSI rated, and both use the same accessories. The difference is in the “Duty Ratingâ€. The ANSI (American National Standards Institute) rates the one on TV at 300 pounds, which is extra heavy duty industrial capable of supporting 300 pounds (which is also available in our store). This model is rated at 250 pounds, which is heavy duty industrial capable of supporting 250 pounds. These duty ratings are arrived at after an extensive series of tests and design requirements. These tests are specified with a safety factor of four to ensure meeting the weight load of user, clothing, tools and other materials. ALWAYS, ladders must be used properly in order to safely support the load.
Now, if it were intended for heavy duty industrial use, I would recommend the higher priced Little Giant. If however, it is for residential use or light commercial, why spend the additional dollars, this Type I ladder will do the job.
