Here we go again... A returning friend is selling some of his parent's household and collectible items as his father has moved to smaller living quarters at this point in his life. These items are quality vintage items, well kept and clean, and represent some names of makers you will recognize! Many items are brand new, but old. Items include glassware, tools, ceramics, household items (even large antique furniture pieces), and misc. collectibles. All are described to the best of our ability in consultation with the owner, selling on a no reserve sale, and selling one time only - a neat opportunity!
This item is an odd one. This is an accessory item for an Elec-Trak Riding Lawn Mower that was produced by GE or General Electric in the 1960s and 1970s. These mowers ran on 36 volts generated from numerous batteries. One of the accessories for them was this "Implement Mounting Bracket" and it is marked in some paperwork as a AP-56 unit. It is new in the box, pictures show it being opened, and it looks like it is for a E12 or an E15 (and probably other similiar size models, E20 etc...) Elec-Trak mower and is dated on the box as 1974 for reference. It is a steel unit, looks like it mounts to the back of the mower box to create a hitch (could be used or modified for use on other mowers). Unit is steel, is in black color or powder coating black and is as shown as far as design.The literature that comes with it (numbered GEH-3953) says that the Implement Mounting Bracket shown is requred to attach the Snow Thrower (26AD42) accessory and for the Snow/Dozer Blade (26AB48) accessory. The unit can be left on the tractor mower when the accessory is not connected. The sheet has directions how to install it. The condition is new, shows some paint imperfections from storage and box itself is not in great shape, some dirt, dust and mold on the box - but very readable as to being an original box and marked the same as the instruction sheet.
