This durable, battery-operated multimode fiber optic loss test set raises field testing to new standards. It contains an OPM 5-2B optical power meter and an OLS 1-Dual LED optical light source.
Used during installations, it performs end-to-end loss measurements on a multimode fiber at 850 and 1300 nm. The meter stores 500 loss readings for each wavelength (850, 1300) for future downloading to a computer or printer. When linked directly to a computer during testing, the unit is transformed into a powerful diagnostic lab meter. Model OLS 1-Dual is an LED optical light source designed for loss testing on multimode fibers. Its single output port offers reliable dual-wavelength testing at 850 or 1300 nm.
