There are 2 charcoal canisters inside, both are unused. 1 says use before 4/79 and the other 5/76. However, both are still showing the blue crystals, meaning that they will still provide the necessary protection!
Box is in very good condition with the following exceptions. Metal corners and trim are rusty, handle (cardboard) is worn, and the wood is starting to crack in some places. It is still VERY SOLID and a GREAT piece of MINE SAFETY memorabilia. "Property of Encarte Inc" is written on the sides.
