The Crucible is 10 1/4" high x 7" diameter top outside x 4" bottom OD. The wall thickness is 3/8".
These are used to melt Glass/glaze samples in a small gas fired crucible furnace. Glaze is a very agressive material. The thempature for the melt is over 2,000 F.
The stamp on the Crucible is: 25 04 6B 730.
I would recommend a slow firing (empty) the first time to be sure that any moisture is driven off.
This is the same crucible that was used by Fusion Ceramics to melt their ceramic glaze samples in.
The picture seems to make it look narrower than it is
