Record Quick-Vise Portable Vise
A Quick-Vise is a portable vise that can mount to any bench top surface. The mounting base is attached by four screw or an optional workbench attachment which needs a 3/4†hole in any surface. The attachment is sold separately as are additional bases. Once the base is secure, you simply slide the vise on the base and lock the lever. Slide the rear jaw next to the work piece, and turn the knob to secure it.
Jaw width is 4 1/2â€, and the jaw opening goes from 0 to 5 1/8â€.
The base and vise are made of resin material, and are very strong, and durable.
The bars are heat treated for strength.
There is little danger of marking your project with the replaceable non-marring pads.
If you remove the pads, there are grooves in the jaws for holding pipe and more durable materials.
The tightening knob has numbers on it which represent the amount of pressure applied, and goes from 0 to 5 in 1/2 increments.
